Hacienda Guacamole


~ Guacamole kicked up with caramelized bacon using amazing fire-roasted-chile hot pepper jelly from Hacienda Maize ~
For the guests, for the game…you’ll love this twist on a crowd favorite!


ingredients 1 lb. bacon, chopped to 1″ pieces
1/4 cup Hacienda Maize Jammin’ Jelly
1 ripe avocado
1/2 tomato, chopped
2 T grated onion
1 clove garlic, pressed
1 Tbsp fresh lime juice
1 Tbsp cilantro, minced
1 small jalapeño, cored and chopped


bacon 1. Pan-fry bacon pieces to crisp and brown. Remove with tongs to drain briefly on paper towels.2. Empty pan of drippings. Return to frying pan and caramelize with Jammin’ Jelly, watching carefully to prevent scorching.
glaze 3. Cool bacon in pan while preparing the dip.
avocado 4. Mash avocados.
mix 5. Add all other ingredients and top with bacon pieces.
serve 6. Serve with corn tortilla chips.
