Jammin’ Champion Bacon n’ Chicken Skewers

Jammin' Champion Skewers ~ With amazing, award-winning fire-roasted-chile hot pepper jelly from Hacienda Maize ~


  • Great bacon, regular slice
  • Fresh chicken breasts
  • Hacienda Maize Fire-Roasted Chile Jammin’ Jelly
  • Vegetables, fruits, etc.
  • Skewers (if wooden, soak in water for 1 hour before cooking)


  1. Heat oven to 350F for bacon
  2. Cook bacon in oven for 7-8 minutes.
  3. Coat bacon in Jammin’ Jelly, both sides, and let cool
  4. Prepare your cooking surface for the skewers: grill, grill pan on stove, or broiler pan — oil-up and heat
  5. Cube uncooked chicken into 1″ pieces (the width of your thumbnail)
  6. Roll chicken pieces into bacon strips
  7. Skewer chicken/bacon cubes with your preferred accompaniments (peppers [blanched], pineapple, potato [par-boiled]…)
  8. Glaze skewers with Jammin’ Jelly
  9. Cook, flipping once and re-glazing, to 165F
  10. Apply a final glaze upon serving, and garnish
